Rangbhoomi Ni Sangbhoomi

An evening of timeless tunes from the long heritage of Gujarati theatre.

Music and song is a speciality of our Gujarati culture…
From lullabies to songs about death…our songs and their melodies are running in our veins. It is the reason why our films, drama or folk arts are so full of music!

Time can rob us of this great musical heritage which is why we are staging these shows. It is a humble attempt to preserve and widen appreciation of this precious heritage in order to bring past, present and future generations together.

Folk songs and musical theater share common roots. Both forms have diversity and great variety. They have poetry, lucidity, beautiful melodies and have an intensity of performance that creates theater. This performance will capture these elements and include the unique tradition of Bhavai.
